Naman Keswani
Hi, I'm Naman. I'm a student at Emory University. I'm going to get my bachelors degree in economics in three years and my masters in my fourth. Education is one of my top priorities in life. I find that it changes the expression of my thoughts, which is extremely significant to me. I also really enjoy economics.
I want to understand how people think, how they make decisions and why. I spend a lot of time thinking about my behavior and the behavior of those around me. I have many goals in my life, but I don't necessarily envision a linear pathway towards achieving them. To apply the things I think about to what I do on a daily basis, in a way that has tangible impact on the world we live in, is the biggest aspiration of mine.
I spent a couple years helping build Real Sports up from its beta stage to where it is today at 2M users and counting. Most of my time was spent engaging directly with users by handling issues and making sure people stayed engaged but I also worked quite a bit on the advertising side.
I was also a teacher at a local after-school program to elementary schoolers. I taught robotics fundamentals for over a year, and often stepped in for other classes when asked by my supervisor. I was given the opportunity to manage the summer camp program they ran, where I handled staffing and finances, kept track of all the students, and made sure the program ran smoothly day to day.
Right now, I am writing and researching for The Invisible Hand, which has really helped me stay tapped into world news while also consistently giving me new perspectives.
I do not have a long list of career titles, but I do know what I care about. I want contribute to things that understand people. I believe behavior matters just as much as numbers, and that learning is something I will be doing perennially. That learning will be geared towards understanding how I can contribute towards solving real problems, whether it's through capital allocation/investing/building. Iām interested in growth, AI, consumer-facing tech, and more than anything, I want to work on things that people actually use and care about.
I spend my personal time reading, writing and listening to music. I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and playing sports. I am a huge Seahawks fan and a big sports guy in general. If I am not doing something involving one of the things I just mentioned, I am probably asleep.
Despite the fact I've written an entire summary of myself to be seen by the internet, I am inherently a bit introverted. I still like to think I'm socially adept, and I do enjoy getting to know people. Feel free to reach out at naman.keswani@emory.edu if you think we should connect :)
